smashingly great day

madrasah was so annoying yesterday. but ustad azman's period was funny as usual.
ika shikin and i skipped first period, as usual .
because band ended at like 520 like that. and shikin had band also, i think.
so yeaaaaah.

band today was okay really. Ani loves her new mouthpiece alot . haha. and by Ani, i mean me.
hahahaha. long story.

oh and the most most awesomest and best best part of today was dinner at Mayuni Omar Music Cafe, near masjid sultan there. the food wasnt really special or anything like that. but it was the music.

aunty amy and uncle eddy arrived in singapore tday, from KL, for a visit and my parents brought them all around town to shop, like tour singapore and stuff. so when i came home from band, mak ni and kak long and me, went to meet them at the restaurant for dinner.

then abang also came to meet us there with his friend zahid. this mayuni omar guy is supposed to be some (local) famous singer/songwriter actually. haha i just found out tday. and in his restaurant was this like small stage with keyboards and guitars and other cool instruments.

and so tday happened to be aunty amy's birthday. and 2 other customers birthdays also. and mayuni omar sang a birthday song for them. and he played the keyboard/electric piano so well. i almost wished i could be at least half as good as he is.

then he asked around if anyone wanted to sing. a few people volunteered lah. then aunty aja went to sabo abang and zahid. hahahaha. and they did go.
they played the guitar and sang. two songs in fact. i'm yours by jason mraz and nothing else matters by metallica.
they were really good, i can tell you this much.
then people started cheering and stuff.

i mean, i know my brother goes jamming with his friends and play guitar evry minute of the day at home. but i didnt know he could sing so well in front of strangers.
and the mayuni omar guy looked kind of impressed by them and a few other customers who performed. aunty amy and uncle eddy was also impressed and they said "singapura banyak bakat terpendam, ya. " which directly translates to, "Singapore has lots of hidden talents, ya."

hahaha.
