Yesterday's dinner at MOMC was a blast. Grats to Melisa and Alif for scoring for their PSLE! Knew you could do it! MOMC has this stage where anyone can just go up and sing and perform their own stuff. And since mum already made a reservation for us and us only, we sort of dominated the whole cafe and then zul and iqbal werent that shy to perform since we're all family. heehee. Abang sang and zahid sang also. Too bad they didnt have a drumset so the whole band can perform. hahh.
"Awwwwww my boy's all grown up!" HAHAH Iqbal's first solo perf ever. And you did great lah bal dont panic. I miss all of them already! ))): Especially Zul+Iqbal and oh, Kakak Indah, who's departing in 9 days!): She's gonna be based in Dubai so she'll be moving there till she gets her first inflight duty to wherever she is lucky enough to be sent to. Enjoy your training and have fun travelling all around the world kay. Haha omg i'll miss you so much.
Today, i followed abang to Simei industrial park area where he went jamming with his band. Or half of his band actually, since Joseph and Joel and Ada couldnt make it. The jamming studio was er, okay not like what i expected. Abang said they dont usually go to this one since they have crap instruments there. But we had to go there cos the more expensive studios require booking beforehand and it was a last minute decision.. So yeah... I told him i wanted to tag along to see how they practice and do their thing. And they were awesome! I didnt know it was that hard to form a band and to arrange an original song and to think up the lyrics and all that. And wowwwww they were awesome at that.
Abang just played some random tune on the elect. guitar and then zahid added on the appropriate chords on his and then sam added the drum beats and then Syahmeer on the bass guitar IT WAS SO COOL MY JAW WAS DROPPING. And then just like that, they decided on the intro for an original song.
And then i just played with the keyboard for awhile, but i couldnt think of a tune that would fit into their song):
After that we walked to Simpang Bedok to eat. WALKED okay! i wanted to complain but then i already knew that abang and his friends walk everywhere! Haha! So i kept my mouth shut. Sam kept on teasing me cos i had a blue tongue after drinking that stupid blueberry syrup.
Then i told them we could take 10 and alight at casafina and walk home from there. So they listened to me. And it was such a long walk home! hahaha, and we had to walk past the creaky swings at sarah's condo where we saw people walk that time. Abang and his friends kept on asking me if i knew where i was taking them. We had to walk along this freaky alley along casafina. But we did get home in time for the soccer match that they wantd to watch. And now i cant get any sleep cos they're so noisy outside.
